Tml can deliver straight to your door machined parts from single prototypes to high volume
production in your choice of materials ranging from soft plastics like PTFE and acetyl onto
aluminium through to the most exotic stainless steels and titanium’s.
Our workshop contains the latest in CNC equipment totalling over £2m. This puts Tml in
an enviable position to our customers who can rest assured that their parts are being produced
on the best possible equipment in the most cost effective manor.
In mid 2010 we also purchased a brand new Puma MX2100-ST. (9 axis) Turn-Mill Centre with
full 5 axis milling capability. This machine replaced our older ageing Mazak Integrex It's B Axis
milling capability combined with Fanuc’s “flagship” 31i-A control enables Tml to produce all
the normal parts you would expect to produce on such a high quality machine as well as milled components
straight from bar fed material which you might expect to produce on a normally on a CNC Mill, for a
fraction of the price.
Also included in our 2010 plant acquisitions is a 5 axis Matsuura MAM72-35V with
full “Lights out capability” This amazing piece of Japanese equipment which is not to be confused
with cheap vertical machining centres with a bolted on trunnion tables, will transform jobs which
would otherwise have to be machined in several operations into a “One Hit” setup. The advantageous
speed the Matsuura removes metal has enabled Tml to charge a fraction of the hourly rate normally
commanded by other companies with slower 5 axis machines.
In the last two years alone Tml have invested over £100,000 just on the very best CNC spindle tooling
and work holding equipment. This significant outlay has given us the fastest possible change over times
between jobs, maximising production time.
At Tml all CNC machines have either a high speed Ethernet link or a DNC link direct into our secure
server which is directly linked to our CAD/CAM system for ease of programming and safe storage of client’s
CAD and CAM files. Maximum use is made of our extensive tool library and off-line programming to minimise
setup time and ensure a rapid response and competitive pricing for the benefit of all our customers.

We liked our first Integrex so much, we now have two!
The Mazak Integrex is a true multi-tasking machine with 7 axis. It can machine a part with only one setup and no fixtures because of its ability to move a part from one turning spindle to the next, move each spindle incrementally at 1/10 of a degree, and move 225 degrees in the B-axis on the tool spindle. This means that you can drill, mill or turn on any plane, at virtually any angle, without needing to create multiple setups, fixtures or programs. In combination with precision that is unmatched, the Integrex can do a number of jobs at a very high quality, at a much lower cost, and also in much less time than they would take to machine traditionally. These jobs include mold machining, gear hobbing, cylindrical grinding, boring, angle drilling, as well as traditional CNC turning and milling operations. This website does not even begin to describe all of the different functions that this machine can perform flawlessly. It is a perfect compliment to Tml’s other 5 axis machinery, which is strong in every area. Precision, accuracy, quality and versatility all unmatched.
